About Kayne Lawton

By playing Rugby League and training at an elite level since I was 17 years old, I have experienced things that you cannot learn from a textbook about training discipline, overall fitness conditioning and human movement techniques. An NRL pre-season is demanding and gruelling both physically and mentally, which has prepared me to understand the limits of how the body can be pushed. Throughout my career I have suffered a lot of injuries; including torn ligaments and hamstrings, broken bones and a shoulder reconstruction.

This led to me being in the gym more often than not, which is where I found my love for lifting weights and creating diet plans that fast tracked my recovery periods.

All of this has contributed towards creating my training plans, that today I am now prepared to reveal to help others to achieve their own fitness goals.

Qualifications: Certificate III in Fitness and Nutrition, Certificate IV in Fitness and Nutrition

My Training Philosophy

There was a time when I competed in bodybuilding competitions and I thought that having a better physique than my competition was what it was all about. Always comparing myself to other people and never being satisfied. Even though I was and always have been natural, I would compare my own body to those of world class bodybuilders like Arnold and Phil Heath knowing that they are on steroids – but still thinking that I could do it without taking steroids myself.

I would look at myself and find faults every time. Then once I had a break from that lifestyle, it gave me the chance that I needed to take a step back and realise what was I thinking!? For the past eighteen months and moving into the future, all that I have wanted is to be healthy, and to continue training because I love the challenge of pushing myself harder and trying to be better than I was yesterday.

For me being fit and healthy – it’s not to impress other people, it’s purely for MY mind, body and soul.
